Goal Achievement Theory: The Real Life Magic to Make Success Happen

There are people who are successful and get what they want. Many do not. Is there a contrast in the genes? It is very unlikely. Is constant success, then, some sort of magic trick, supernatural in nature? No.

But it is now known that there are differences in how these two kinds of people see the world.

The unified psychological theory explaining why some people achieve their goals and others don’t, and attributing the difference to mindset is called goal achievement theory.

The vast majority of people do not know the details of goal achievement theory. As a substitute they use vague terminology like “think positive” without fully understanding what it means.

The following article will delve into one of the most important elements of goal achievement theory: Belief that the goal is possible.

If you do not genuinely think you can do it, you probably won’t triumph, mostly because you will lack the motivation to spend serious time and effort into something you believe is not going to work. Speculative investment of time and effort requires belief.

And belief is not about blind faith. This is a belief based on evidence. Has anybody ever succeeded before at what you want to achieve? The answer to this question is usually yes. And if they did, you would be advised to educate yourself as much about their route to success as you can. If you are a pioneer and are trying to make something happen that has never been tried before, ask another question: Do all the required concepts work individually? If you know what you are trying to do and have a plan, then you can evaluate whether the parts of the plan will work in theory. If all techniques and strategies have been used successfully at some other time, then it is likely your goal is achievable.

Mostly the people who will tell you your goal will never happen are people who simply do not know themselves how to achieve it. And because they don’t know, they tell you it is not possible. This is quite obviously flawed logic. Most people do not know how a jet plane flies but they are happy to climb aboard and fly off in one. Why should this be any different?

So if you have a goal, do whatever you need to do and learn whatever you need to learn to make you know beyond doubt that it is achievable. Then you will possess the endless motivation you have to have to go out every day and strive to become a success.

Good luck!
